The Bravo Network may be swimming with reality shows ranging from cooking competition shows to reality shows about the yachting industry, but the franchisee who put Bravo on the map was The Real Housewives. The series began with average, wealthy women living incredible lifestyles, but as the franchise progressed, more and more familiar faces joined the cast.
There are countless Real Housewives fans, who are celebrities themselves, who uncompromisingly watch the show in their spare time and spread the word about what huge fans they are. However, that doesn’t mean they want to be on a show that showcases the good and bad of their lives. On the other hand, there are a handful of celebrities who would jump at the opportunity to become a housewife if given it.

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi
Jersey Shore’s Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi has been a fan of Real Housewife for years and has shown her love for the franchise in various interviews and social media posts.
In 2020, an apparent feud between Snooki and Andy Cohen began when he said he wouldn’t hire her for The Real Housewives of New Jersey. This bothered Snooki as she was such a huge fan and felt Cohen had written her off. During an interview on Andy Cohen Live, Cohen said because Snooki is the face of MTV, her coming to Bravo wouldn’t work. “To me, it’s like putting Mickey Mouse in a Bugs Bunny cartoon,” he said. Despite Jersey Shore being one of the funniest reality TV shows, it doesn’t look like Snooki’s fame will lead them to Bravo.
Julia Fox
Actress Julia Fox is best known for her role in Adam Sandler’s Uncut Gems. After the film, she became better known for her relationship with rapper and artist Kanye West. Due to her sudden fame and love for New York City, Julia wouldn’t mind joining The Real Housewives of New York.
On an episode of Watch What Happens Live (via People), Andy asked Julia about her thoughts on joining the franchise. Fox said, “It’s a tough question because I don’t know what the new girls are giving.” She added, “If I think we can swing, then yes, why not?” Fox is friends with former RHONY housewife Leah McSweeney and even said a producer contacted her about the opportunity to be on the series.
Sarah Paulson
Award-winning actress Sarah Paulson has starred in some top films and has shown her range as an actress. In addition to being an incredible artist, Paulson is also an avid viewer of Housewives and has appeared on Watch What Happens Live several times to talk about it.
Though she may not join the series, she has said she’d want to play an OG housewife if she ever had to: Vicki Gunvalson. Speaking on Andy Cohen Live (via People), Paulson added, “I just want to play Vick.” She continued, “Vicki is a very fascinating person to me.” If there was ever a Real Housewives biopic, Paulson is the perfect choice .
Nicky Minaj
Singer-songwriter Nicki Minaj loved The Real Housewives of Potomac so much that she wanted to be part of the series. The entertainment value of RHOP women is such that it’s only natural that Minaj wanted to join the housewives. Instead of becoming a housewife, she asked Andy if she could host part of the Season 6 reunion, and he agreed.
In a shock to fans and castmates alike, Andy gave up his hosting seat for the third part of the reunion for the first time ever. Minaj took the stage and asked the women tough questions about the season that fans were dying to know.
Mila Kunis
Mila Kunis is a celebrity who hasn’t been in WWHL, which is surprising considering she’s a huge Real Housewives fan. According to Bravo, Kunis said, “Don’t judge, [I watch] The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Additionally, her favorite housewife is NeNe Leakes of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
In an interview with Conan O’Brien (via Glamour), Kunis even talked about joining the series. “I asked my husband once, I was like, ‘Listen, later, like 20, 30 years from now, what do you think about me doing Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?'” she asked. Funnily enough, her husband, Ashton Kutcher, sarcastically said, “I would kill you.”
Heidi Montag
Heidi Pratt is best known for her betrayal on The Hills, but she’s also starred in I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, Famous Food, Celebrity Big Brother, and more. As a reality TV pro, moving to The Real Housewives seems like the logical next step.
In December 2021, Heidi tweeted her dismay at not having been asked to become a housewife. As the story continues, Cohen said on Watch What Happens Live (via Bravo) that he’d rather “put knives in my own eyes than see them on this network.” Cohen later apologized for his choice of words, but it looks like BTV fans won’t be watching Heidi on Bravo anytime soon.
Jan Kramer
Jana Kramer is a singer-songwriter known for her dramatic love life. With everything in the press about her personal life, Kramer would be a wise move as a housewife, and it looks like the network thought so too.
She said on her podcast, Whine Down (via Us Magazine), “I’m like, ‘All right, well, we don’t do anything else. We might as well entertain it.’ But we haven’t heard anything. So I’m like, ‘Maybe we were just boring people.’ I dont know. I’d be so scared we’d just be eaten alive, spat out and canceled the next day.” At the time of this writing, there is no further information about Kramer joining the series.
Ali Landry
In October 2020, actress Ali Landry stated that the producers of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills had spoken to her about joining the cast.
According to The Daily Mail, Landry’s two close friends, Kyle Richards and Garcelle Beauvais, were in the cast, so she would be a great fit. Nothing ever came of their addition, however. With the series currently on hiatus, it could be a great time to add Landy to the cast to shake things up. And while Kyle has been seen as a villain on the show in the past, Landry might temper things.
Kristy Swanson
Kristy Swanson is the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer and has been part of some of the best episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Best known for her time on the big screen in the ’90s and 2000s, she would be a great casting choice for The Real Housewives of Orange County.
According to Not All Diamonds and Rose: (via ET), Swanson was in the running before the network chose Lisa Rinna instead. Now that Rinna is off the show and there’s room for new housewives, Swanson might still have a chance.
Mariel Hemingway
Mariel Hemingway, best known for her role in the ’70s film Lipstick, is another actress with famous family members as the granddaughter of legendary writer Ernest Hemingway. Mariel’s famous family would fit right into the franchise.
Producer Scott Dunlap said in Not All Diamonds and Roses (via People), “I thought she would be a great fit, I mean she’s an Oscar nominee after all.” Dunlap continued, “I passed her on and she went to Evolution and the network, and it didn’t work out for one reason or another.” Currently, Hemingway has a podcast that she hosts and a book club for fans to follow.
