Not everything that happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Some people bring home a man or a woman. There's just something special about saying “I do” at iconic Vegas wedding venues like White Chapel or the Tunnel of Love Drive-Thru. Some people don't want to go through the expense or headache of a traditional wedding.
This includes celebrities too! In addition, a wedding reception is often more expensive than a wedding. Elvis and Pricilla's wedding cake reportedly cost more than $22,000! So I suspect that some people would rather have a quiet, simple wedding and then put their money into partying with family and friends later. Or maybe save the money and just enjoy each other and the moment. To each his own, as they say.
