3 Famous Celebrities That Have Roasted the State of Texas

Oh yeah…Texas is no stranger to jokes. SEVERAL people made fun of us every day. And that goes for celebrities too; Some of them have also attacked both the state and some of its citizens on television in the past.

Charles Barkley is known for making fun of San Antonio women

Let's talk about Sir Charles…Charles Barkley. He is a basketball legend known for playing with the 76ers, the Suns, and the Rockets. However, he is also known for harshly denouncing San Antonio women, calling them “GREAT.”

He has done SO MANY roasts on TNT, there are also several videos of his roasting online. Even today he refuses to let up on the jokes…

Jeff Ross roasted Texas prisoners for a comedy special

When we talk about roasts, you MUST mention the RoastMaster General himself, Jeffery Ross. He has roasted Texas SEVERAL times; For example, in 2018 he brought his army of jokes to SXSW.

But he's also known for roasting Texas prisoners in his comedy special titled: “Jeff Ross Roasts Criminals: Live at the Brazos County Jail“. And I'll be honest… it takes COURAGE to walk up to the inmates and taunt them right to their faces.

Spongebob Squarepants roasted Texas for an entire episode

Wait…why is there a cartoon here? Well, considering he's just the BIGGEST CARTOON CHARACTER of the last 20 years, I'd definitely say he's risen to fame. Or in this case spongeness…

But we know why he's on this list. The episode “Texas” is the reason. Spongebob and Patrick calling Texas “stupid” has spawned several memes (and different versions) online. Even years after the episode aired… let's be honest, it's still pretty funny to watch…

Do we even need to mention that Family Guy roasted Texas?

Speaking of cartoons that make fun of Texas; Family Guy has done it SEVERAL TIMES (thanks, Seth MacFarlane). We've seen President George W. Bush mock our gun laws, our Texas education, and our belief in the super devil (how do you know he's NOT real? That's a joke…).

Fun fact: El Paso was ALSO featured in an episode of Family Guy. Surprisingly, we didn't get too many jokes in this episode.

This certainly won't be the last time Texas is made fun of. so bring it on. We can take the jokes.
