Movie stars around the world are known for their love of super luxury and sports cars. Almost every film actor is known to own one or more expensive vehicles. The same goes for Bollywood actors too. These stars regularly change their luxury cars and every month some new celebrities bring home new cars. Most recently, these five popular actors and celebrities bought brand new cars. The list of these people includes names like Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, ‘Gadar’ actor Sunny Deol and Rakul Preet and a few others.
Sunny Deol – Jeep Meridian
The first person on this list is none other than the recently released Gadar 2 star Sunny Deol. The actor is elated with the success of his latest film, which is on track to cross the Rs 500-crore mark. Despite achieving such a huge figure, the actor recently bought a modest Jeep Meridian SUV. Don’t get us wrong, an SUV for Rs 40 lakh is not a common purchase item. However, if you look at Sunny Deol, who also owns a Porsche 911 GT3 and a Land Rover Defender, the Jeep Meridian seems much more modest. It’s also the cheapest vehicle in his garage.

According to the specifications of the Jeep Meridian SUV, it is powered by the same engine as the Jeep Compass Diesel. A 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine is used, producing 170 hp and 350 Nm of maximum torque. Currently, it is only available with a diesel engine, and this engine is offered with a 6-speed manual or 9-speed automatic transmission. The price of a brand new Jeep Meridian starts from Rs 30.10 lakh ex-showroom and goes up to Rs 37.15 lakh ex-showroom.
Khushali Kumar – Mercedes Maybach S580
Next on this list is Bollywood actress Khushali Kumar. She is the daughter of popular Indian film producer and music producer Bhushan Kumar. The actress recently got herself a brand new Mercedes Maybach S580 luxury sedan. This ultra-luxurious sedan features power front and rear seats, heated and ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, flush door handles, ambient lighting, premium leather upholstery and a rear seat massage function.
The top-of-the-range luxury sedan also features the Mercedes MBUX infotainment system, connected car functions, a fully digital instrument cluster, a doorman function that allows the rear passenger to automatically close the door with a wave of the hand, Airmatic suspension and many more features. The Mercedes-Maybach S580 is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine with the EQ Boost of 48 volts and a mild hybrid system. Together it produces an impressive 496 hp and a maximum torque of 700 Nm.

The third Bollywood star on this list is the stunning South and Bollywood actress Rakul Preet. The actress recently bought a brand new Mercedes Maybach GLS 600 SUV. The actress gifted herself this SUV in a classy black tone. This brand new SUV was delivered to the actress’ house on a flatbed truck. The car was fully covered with protective material to keep it safe during transport.
When it comes to equipment, this SUV is equipped with all the amenities that can also be found in the Maybach sedans. The powertrain of this huge SUV is equipped with a 4.0 liter V8 engine and a 48V mild hybrid system. The engine delivers a peak power of 557 hp and a torque of 730 Nm. The hybrid system can provide an additional 22 hp and 250 Nm of torque if required. A 9-speed automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels.
Rajnikanth – BMW X7
Fourth on this list is Tamil superstar and legendary actor Rajinikanth. Unlike the other people on this list, Rajinikanth was gifted his latest luxury car. In recognition of the success of his recent film Jailer, the actor was gifted a brand new BMW X7 SUV by the producer of the film. Jailer producer Kalanithi Maran brought two cars to Rajinikanth’s house – a BMW X7 SUV and an i7 EV sedan. The actor was asked which one he would like to keep. Being the humble man, Rajinikanth opted for the cheaper BMW X7 SUV worth Rs 1.26 Crore.
The new 2023 BMW X7 is available with both gasoline and diesel engines. Both the petrol and diesel engines use a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged inline-six. The petrol variant of the X7 produces a maximum of 381 hp and 520 Nm of maximum torque. The diesel variant meanwhile produces around 340 hp and 700 Nm of maximum torque. Both the petrol and diesel variants come with an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard. The engine’s power is transmitted to all four wheels. A 48V mild hybrid system is available for both engines, giving the BMW X7 an additional 12 hp and 200 Nm of torque.
Natasha Poonawalla – Bentley Bentayga EWB
Last but not least on this list is Natasha Poonawalla, wife of Adar Poonawalla, CEO of Serum Institute of India. The famous businesswoman was recently spotted in her brand new Bentley Bentayga EWB worth Rs 6 crore. The car was spotted outside Kareena Kapoor’s house when Natasha was invited to a small house party. This new SUV is finished in a very elegant Dark Sapphire color.
The all-new Bentley Bentayga is only available with an optional V8 petrol engine. The SUV is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 gasoline engine. The engine produces a maximum of 550 hp and 770 Nm of maximum torque. The transmission tasks are handled by an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard.
