In recent years, Hollywood stars have been busy buying and selling real estate, and it’s becoming increasingly common for celebs to sell houses to each other.
According to Architectural Digest, some of the biggest names in the industry, including Selena Gomez, French Montana, Adam Levine and Ellen DeGeneres, Leonardo DiCaprio and Oprah, have been busy handing over their homes to each other.
Here are some of the most notable real estate sales in recent years.
Selena Gomez to French Montana
In 2015, Selena Gomez decided to sell her Mediterranean-style mansion, and just a few months later, rapper French Montana Home bought it for $3.3 million.
The musician made a few changes to the property, including building a $400,000 recording studio and getting the house a fresh coat of paint.
The rapper recently sold the property for $5 million and made a tidy profit on the deal.
Adam Levine to Ellen DeGeneres
Singer Adam Levine sold a five-bedroom Tudor-style home in Beverly Hills to another celebrity buyer, talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.
DeGeneres paid $45 million for the property, which previously also belonged to tennis star Pete Sampras, in 2019.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson to Leonardo DiCaprio
Leonardo DiCaprio is known for his love of real estate, so it’s no surprise that he was the buyer when Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson sold his Los Feliz home.
DiCaprio purchased the 1928 Spanish Colonial-style mansion in May 2021 for $7.1 million. That was significantly more than the $4.6 million paid by Tyler Ferguson in 2013.
Several other famous names also owned the four bedroom house, including Gwen Stefani and Robert Pattinson.

Jeff Bridges to Oprah Winfrey
When talk show host Oprah Winfrey wanted to add to her already extensive real estate portfolio, she was the willing buyer of Jeff Bridges’ nearby Spanish Revival-style mansion.
Winfrey paid $6.85 million for the complex, which spans four acres.

Liam Payne to Halsey
In 2021, Halsey set about preparing for the birth of her first child, Ender Ridley Aydin, in July by purchasing a sprawling five-acre estate in Calabasas.
Singer Halsey paid former One Direction member Liam Payne just over $10.16 million for a sprawling five-acre lot in Calabasas.
The property features a huge main house, recording studio, tea house, guest house, small working vineyard, koi ponds and waterfalls.
