Adam Scott, Naomi Campbell, Aubrey Plaza among the celebrities honoring this year’s CNN Heroes

Celebrities and musicians come together tonight to honor everyday people who make the world a better place.

CNN’s Anderson Cooper and ABC’s Kelly Ripa will be co-hosting the 16th Annual CNN Heroes All-Star Tribute, which premieres live at 8:00 p.m. ET. They will be joined by more than a dozen celebrities, including supermodel and activist Naomi Campbell, and actors Adam Scott of Severance, Aubrey Plaza of The White Lotus and Tenoch Huerta of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, who served as award presenters will function.

The 2022 CNN Hero of the Year will be announced during the live broadcast and chosen by the CNN audience from this year’s Top 10 CNN Heroes. All 10 honorees will receive a $10,000 prize and the Hero of the Year will receive an additional $100,000 for their cause.

“We are very honored to be here,” said actress and singer Sofia Carson, who will perform a song by award-winning songwriter Diane Warren at the event. “Diane wrote this incredible anthem ‘Applause’ for those who lead, survive and fight, and tonight we dedicate this song and performance to our heroes.”

Two teens making a difference in their communities are honored as Young Wonders 2022:

• Sri Nihal Tammana, a 13-year-old from Edison, New Jersey, started Recycle My Battery, which keeps used batteries out of the ecosystem through a network of collection bins.
