Legendary rock ‘n’ roll icon Tina Turner has died at the age of 83, leaving the world in mourning.

The dynamic rock queen’s rep confirmed the news to Sky News, explaining that Turner had died “after a long illness” at her home near Zurich, Switzerland. In homage to her remarkable musical legacy, a spokesperson described her as a music legend and role model.
The announcement of Turner’s death also came on her Instagram page, where she issued a statement celebrating her music and her passion for life. The heartfelt message ended with her sending her condolences to her family and stressing that Tina’s music lives on.
“Tina, we will miss you very much,” the post ends.

Turner’s career is an unforgettable story in the field of rock music. She is survived by husband Erwin Bach and two children, Ike Turner Jr. and Michael Turner, whom she adopted during her marriage to ex-husband Ike Turner.
Regrettably, their eldest son Craig passed away in 2018 aged 59 and another son, Ronnie, passed away in December 2022 aged 62.
