A GANG of celebrities gets busted behind bars.
But I can reveal it’s all a TV experiment for a Channel 4 show HMP, with a bunch of famous faces getting a taste of life inside.

A pilot for the program has already been drawn up and executives at production company Shine are now casting to film a full series later this year.
A TV insider said: “The idea behind the show is that it gives people who may not have any experience of prison life or the criminal justice system in general a taste of what it’s like.
“This could include celebs from a walk of life where they’ve looked at incarceration from a different angle, whether they’re ex-cops, politicians, or actors who’ve played crooks but never actually been beaten up.

“They expect it to be a tough watch and a tough test for the contestants, but the fact that it’s so challenging is part of its appeal.”
The creators of the show, which could be coming to our screens this fall, are trying to make the experience as authentic as possible.
For this they actually got hold of a former prison in which to film.
Unfortunately, that also means it has to be a single-sex prison like it would be in real life, so it’s the boys turn to go behind bars first.
But if the format proves a success, there’s obviously scope for a second series starring female stars.
I think the producers should ask the public to nominate inmates.
I’m sure viewers would enjoy watching their least-loved celebrities trade their luxurious lifestyles for dingy cells.

Last week’s episode ended on a cliffhanger after he was taken away by the police.
Today’s edition will also be a thrill as the investigation gets underway.
Viewers see CCTV footage showing an excited Neville visiting the victim, former forensics professor David Cartwright, just before he was found dead.
In the eyes of the lead investigator, that makes Neville look guilty.
Now it’s up to the inspector’s police colleagues on the island of Saint Marie to prove his innocence.
Watch it unfold at 9pm on BBC1.

Comedian Rosie Jones travels to the North Sea coast in the Midlands and Smack The Pony’s Doon Mackichan meets up with Sandi at an Irish eco-resort.
Sandi said: “Spending time with these fantastically funny people has been the greatest joy.”
