Following Mel B and Emma Burton’s time in Season 4 of The Circle, fans of the Netflix series are wondering if celebrities will ever get a chance to gamble for real money.
The circle has taken Netflix and the internet by storm since it was introduced to American viewers in 2020, and while the series has only featured non-celebrity contestants, it might be time to consider adding celebrities to the mix of players . The social media competition, which resembles a solid mix of CBS’ Big Brother and MTV’s Catfish, physically separates the cast and connects them emotionally through text, emoji and photos. While it might sound easy to use her popularity and charm to get to the end, The Circle players will have to deal with a multitude of twists and turns and a variety of catfish.

Since any competitor can be successful as a catfish as they make sure not to let up, anyone could win the title for themselves in The Circle season 5 or other seasons with enough skill. Viewers got a brief glimpse of this when Spice Girls Mel B and Emma Burton came into play last season. Although Mel B and Emma only briefly played with a fake profile as children’s author Jared, their guest appearance on Season 4 of The Circle was a hit. With Netflix and host Michelle Buteau now on The Circle season five, there’s a chance celebrities could make an appearance in the next season.
Snoop Dogg
There were some talented musicians and comedians at The Circle, like John Franklin, but when it comes to celebrities with serious star power, Reddit users in thread u/Snoo_62442 think nobody is better at providing unintentionally mindless entertainment than Snoop Dogg. While it’s hard to tell if Netflix Snoop would indulge his love of marijuana, The Circle fans consider Snoop not only smarter than he may appear, but someone who offers great commentary in any situation. One Reddit user described Snoop as the “cool dad bro” who dropped unexpected words of wisdom on The Circle, while another agreed Snoop should be cast, but only if he fished as best friend and accomplice Martha Stewart .
Lance bass
Lance Bass rose to fame as a member of boy band NSYNC, but after his identity was unsuccessfully used by The Circle season 2 catfish Lisa Delcampo, fans think Lance should really play the game. Lance has appeared on several reality TV shows over the years including The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Bachelor In Paradise. Lance joining a future cast of The Circle would not only come full circle on his pseudo-journey, no pun intended, but would appeal to viewers across different age groups. “[Lance is] no longer mega-famous, but still known to a relatively young group of participants,” argued one Reddit user.
Sal volcano
Sal Vulcano is known for doing whatever it takes to win at Impractical Jokers, and with impeccable comedic skills and a natural talent for improvisation, fans of The Circle believe he’d go far in the game. That being said, Reddit users also think that all of the stars of Impractical Jokers, Sal, James Murray, Brian Quinn, and the sadly recently deceased Joe Gatto would bring some seriously chaotic entertainment to The Circle. “I would love all the Jokers in a big apartment for two [of them] Catfishing,” one person commented, while another user suggested separating the four in separate apartments to up the ante even further.

While it would be fun to see some celebrities compete on The Circle, some said they think the show works well with run-of-the-mill contestants who aren’t famous. With $100,000 at stake, Reddit users pointed out that celebrities don’t need the money or any more attention than they already have, although others pointed out that Netflix is taking a page from The Circle UK’s book and making a mini – Season could create with all celebrities. “It would be extra fun if they had some regular people and catfish as other famous people,” one person even suggested. With the American version of everything is possible The circleand while celebrities haven’t played the game seriously yet, that could easily change in the future.
