Across the film industry, several celebrities joined scores of Dhanush fans to wish the Southern superstar his 39th birthday.
Director Selvaraghavan, who happens to be Dhanush’s brother, took to Twitter to share a heartfelt message for the VIP actor.
“A special birthday for a special person. Congratulations in advance my dear brother Dhanush K Raja,” he wrote.
Actress Ellie, who plays the female lead in his upcoming film Naane Varuven, also wished him on Twitter. “Happy Birthday Dhanush K Raja! May you keep shining and inspiring us as the amazing actor and person that you are! God bless you superstar,” she wrote.
While delivering her welcome, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar said she was proud of everything the actor has achieved. “Congratulations to our global rock star Dhanush K Raja. So, so proud of everything you’ve accomplished. miles ahead of you. Have a fantastic birthday. May you get everything you want. I wish you a life of happiness,” she wrote.
Actor Vaibhav said: “Many many happy returns of the day my dear D sir” while actress Indhuja tweeted: “Happy birthday Dhanush K Raja sir. One of the most skilled and fascinating actors who can make the impossible possible! May you continue to inspire and make us proud. I’m glad to have worked with you. I wish you a blessed birthday, sir.”
Director Venkat Prabhu tweeted: “Very happy birthday Dhanush K Raja saar! God bless!! Keep rocking!”
Actor Prasanna, who played one of the leads in Dhanush’s directorial debut Pa Paandi, shared a clip of the actor playing the piano to wish him a happy birthday.
“I wish my dear brother Dhanush K Raja only greater heights and even greater happiness. And what better way to tell his fans on his birthday. Brother, don’t kill me for sharing this. I’ve kept it to myself for too long,” he captioned the video.
Actress Mirnaa also took to Twitter to express her wishes to the actor. She wrote: “Happy birthday wishes D Saar. You are a beacon of hope for me and millions. Keep inspiring! To another blockbuster year.”
Malayalam actress Mamta Mohan wrote, “Here we wish Happy Birthday to Dan-boy who never stops dreaming and walking after reaching her, Dhanush K Raja.”
Actor Prakash Raj also shared a heartwarming message with the actor on his birthday.
“Happy Birthday dear Dhanush K Raja. Keep crossing borders. Keep searching. stay blessed. Wonderful to know you!” he tweeted.
Actress Raashi Khanna tweeted, “Happy Birthday to one of the most passionate and amazing actors I’ve worked with, Dhanush K Raja! I wish you all the wonderful!
Music director Sean Roldan also gave a warm note to the ‘Arangi’ actor.
“Dearest Dhanush K Raja sir. No matter how much success you have, what heights you reach, you have always maintained your integrity as an artist and as a person. There is one word that does not suit you – impossible. I wish you a great year my friend and brother,” he wrote.
On the work front, Dhanush was last seen in Russo Brothers’ The Gray Man.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo from a screenplay based on the 2009 novel of the same name by Mark Greaney, The Gray Man also features Chris Evans, Jessica Henwick, Rege-Jean Page, Wagner Moura, Julia Butters, Alfred Woodard and Billy Bob Thornton. The film is said to be the start of a franchise based on Greaney’s Gray Man novels.
