Ah, the wandering eye. A disease that even the splendor of Hollywood cannot escape.

Unlike chickenpox or measles, once you get it, you’re likely to catch it a few more times. It is a contagious disease that must be treated appropriately.

A condition often kept secret due to its nefarious reputation. One species that often doesn’t hide this particular ailment is none other than the crème de la crème, the high-mucky dirt, Hollywood’s heavyweight heroes: A-list celebrities.

We name and shame the perfidious elite of the limelight, evoking all the little moments when they couldn’t keep it to themselves when it came to their high-profile handkerchief.

From Jada Pinkett Smith’s ‘Entanglement’ to the ‘Tampongate’ scandal involving the King of England, here’s a list of less faithful celebrities and their not-so-subtle affairs.

Jay Z

Beyoncé and Jay-Z began dating in 2001 and have been together for 22 years.

Imagine writing an entire album about your indiscretions. And imagine if it were full of bangers. You don’t need to stretch your imagination too much as you listen to Beyonce’s sophomore visual album Lemonade, which includes tracks about her cheating husband Jay-Z and “Becky with the Good Hair.”

In 2017, the rapper addressed cheating rumors to The New York Times Magazine, saying, “So you go into survival mode, and what happens when you go into survival mode?” You shut off all emotions. Even with women you will emotionally shut down so you can’t connect… In my case it’s profound. And then everything happens: infidelity.”

Kristen Stewart

The girls of Team Edward and Team Jacob joined forces and plotted a mutiny in 2012 when Kristen Stewart chose neither, choosing instead to have a bash with a guy named Rupert.

Fandoms raged and Twilight Stans got a shock when paparazzi photos of Stewart – who was then dating heartthrob and co-star Robert Pattinson – and her ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ director, Rupert Sanders, went viral. In the pictures, the pair could be seen kissing and snuggling in broad daylight – knowingly out of reach of the glistening-skinned Edward.

The actress said shortly after, “I am deeply sorry for the pain and embarrassment I have caused those close to me and all who have been affected.” This temporary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most: Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.”

Kevin Hart

Who would have thought that Kevin Hart doesn’t just fall short in terms of height. When it comes to the marital bond, he’s lacking.

Obviously, size and loyalty are two things the actor has little of, as he cheated on his wife Eniko Hart in 2017 while she was pregnant with his child.

The two weathered the storm and weren’t afraid to face the sensitive issue. The comedian revealed in his documentary Kevin Hart: Don’t F**k This Up: “The worst part was just knowing how to make someone feel. It could have a major impact on the people closest to you and who love you the most. When I saw that firsthand with Eniko, when I saw the impact of my reckless behavior… It was devastating, it ripped me apart. That really tore me up.”

Jude Law

Jude Law used the term “cliché” in newspaper headlines in 2005 when he confessed to cheating on Sienna Miller with the nanny (sigh).

Law said: “Following the reports in today’s newspapers, I just want to say that I am deeply ashamed and dismayed that I have hurt Sienna and the people closest to us. I want to publicly apologize to Sienna and our respective families for the pain I’ve caused.”

He continued his lawsuit: “There is no defense for my actions, which I sincerely regret and I ask that you respect our privacy at this very difficult time.”

The golden couple of the early noughties stuck it out for a while before breaking up, reconciling and breaking up a few years later. While they weren’t an end product, they made some really juicy tabloid fodder.

Hugh Grant

You could hear the collective gasp of fans when Hugh Grant was arrested in 1995 for having sex in public — in a car, to be precise — with a sex worker named Divine Brown.

Perhaps an even bigger exclamation came from actress and model Elizabeth Hurley, who he was dating at the time.

After the news broke, the Notting Hill actor said, without his signature “um” and “ah,” but full of regret and shame, “Last night I did something completely crazy.” I hurt people I love and embarrassed people I work with. For both things, I’m more sorry than I can ever say.”

Woody Allen

Woody Allen caused fans unease and no doubt curiosity about his personal life when he cheated on his wife Mia Farrow with their adopted daughter Soon-Yi Previn. The famous director married Previn with the words: “The heart wants what it wants.” There is no logic to these things. You meet someone, fall in love and that’s it.”

While his wife-to-be was reportedly 21 when they met, she first met the filmmaker when she was just 10 years old.

Scary? We think so.

Kris Jenner

Kris Jenner, manager, mother and matriarch of the Kardashian family, now runs an empire with her first husband’s namesake. However, the mother made headlines in 2011 when she admitted to cheating on Robert Kardashian in her memoir.

In the biography Kris Jenner… and All Things Kardashian, she refers to her lover as “Ryan” and confesses, “He kissed me and I kissed him back… I hadn’t been kissed like that in 10 years.” It made me feel young, attractive, sexy and alive.”

“Ryan” is said to be football pro Todd Waterman, who admitted the heated affair in a 2012 interview. “We came back to her friend’s house in Beverly Hills. And our first time [we had sex] was in her friend’s closet,” according to the Daily Mail. “We found a little spot in the house and consummated the relationship.”

“It was a magical night, surreal,” he added. “I think there were two people back then who were both open to experiencing something in their lives. It was destiny, we invited it and just ran with it and from there. We didn’t hold back.”

Keeping this fruity romance hidden from screen makes one wonder if Keeping Up with the Kardashians missed a bonanza.

And Ryan

Another of the hottest couples of the ’90s burst into flames and broke up faster than you can say “fire hazard” when they were involved in a celebrity triangle that left people perplexed.

Meg Ryan has cheated on her hunky husband Dennis Quaid with none other than Gladiator star Russell Crowe.

Following her split from Quaid in 2000, Ryan reached out to In Style for clarity — pointing the finger at her ex-husband for doing the act first.

“It was a great story, but what wasn’t in the story was the reality of my nine-year marriage,” she explained. “Dennis hasn’t been faithful to me for a long time and it was very painful. I learned more about that when I was divorced.”

Defending Australian actor Crowe, she said: “I think he’s taken a big hit. But Russell did not break up the marriage. He was definitely there in the end, but it wasn’t his fault. I was a mess I ended up hurting him too. I couldn’t go into another long relationship, it wasn’t the right time. So I got out.”

Jada Pinkett Smith

Jada Pinkett Smith not only fueled the gossip pages for weeks with her admission of infidelity, but also added a new term to our internal vocabulary: entanglement.

The actress – and wife of Oscar winner Will Smith – had a four-year affair with August Alsina, who was close friends with their son Jaden Smith.

The couple famously discussed the “entanglement” on their show Red Table Talk, where Smith’s tearful face broke hearts around the world and made for 10 out of 10 meme content for years to come.

King Charles

Okay, to be honest, everyone knows this guy wasn’t quite as faithful — but we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to revisit his Tampongate disaster.

For those who need a refresher, Charles and current Queen Camilla were known to frolic when Princess Di was married to the future King of England. Referring to Camilla as the “third person in her marriage,” Diana’s revenge dress and the murder era that followed would never have happened if it weren’t for Charles’ infidelity with Parker-Bowles.

Not afraid to engage in dirty talk, Charles and Camilla’s affair became public in 1989 when a racy phone call was leaked to the press. The late-night chat highlighted the king’s hopes of being reborn as Camilla’s tampon – of being close to her.

Strange? Very. Somehow cute? A little bit. Cheat? Absolutely.
