Lagos agog as celebrities storm Zeinny Crafts’ Dexterity exhibition

Lagos was recently excited when celebrities, fashionistas and big wigs of society graced the Dexterity 1.0 exhibition organized by Africa’s #1 footwear brand, Zeinny Crafts.

Themed “Creativity in Action”, the fashion fair, held on Saturday 10th September 2022 at the Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos, attracted high profile figures including the Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe; Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Bola Oboh; Director for Entrepreneurship, UNILAG, Prof. Sunday Adebisi; Lawyer/Moderator Nymah Akashat Zibiri; BBNaija star Jaypaul aka Mr. Flamez and actor Rotimi Salami among others.

According to Zeinny Crafts CEO Zanaib Alayande, the motivation behind Dexterity 1.0 was to project and change the history of the Nigerian leather fashion industry. “We also wanted to present the Zeinny Crafts brand on an international level. Like Gucci, Versace and Chanel, Zeinny Crafts is here to stay global,” she stressed.

A major highlight of the exhibition was the launch of Zeinny’s new collections, including Zeinny Asiko, Subr by Zeinny and Zeinny Rumble. Other items on display included clothing, shoes, bags, waist packs/straps, belts, groceries and beauty products.

Alayande, believing that there is no limit to what can be achieved, strives to equip the youth and make them an asset to the nation. “If you can dream it, you can achieve it,” she said while counseling the youth. “Don’t wait for people’s approval before pursuing your dream, that’s why it’s your dream and not someone else’s.”

But after Skill 1.0, what’s next for the talented hijab-wearing lady? Their response: “Currently, our team has plans underway for Dexterity 1.1 that will address skill acquisition and brand building. We want to grow and also create ways in which others can grow.”
