From beauty products to cocktail lounges to bohemian stripper poles and wig lines, celebrities have invested in and founded countless establishments, catapulting their names even higher in the world of entrepreneurship. For some, starting a new business is just a pastime; for others it becomes a lifelong passion. While many are drawn to alcohol and fashion, coffee has become a staple in celebrities’ quest to own and run a business. Here are some of today’s favorites.

Hugh Jackman: The Laughing Man’s Coffee
When he’s not winning Golden Globe Awards or making middle-aged women swoon, Hugh Jackman ignites his philanthropic endeavors, returning smile after smile to the Ethiopian coffee community. Laughing man was coffee Founded after Jackman visited Kochere, Ethiopia as Global Ambassador for World Vision Australia. Moved by Dukale, a coffee farmer with a zest for life and an infectious laugh, Jackman vowed to improve the lives of coffee farmers worldwide and Laughing Man Coffee was born. In recent years, Jackman has raised money for plantations around the world, providing them with equipment, labor and even health care and education.

Machine Gun Kelly: 27 Club Coffee
He may be known for wearing a vial of Megan Fox’s blood around his neck, but when it comes to decadent coffee and cocktails, Machine Gun Kelly is no stranger. In 2020, MGK ventured outside of the music world to open 27 club coffee, a nod to the infamous list of celebrities who have died at the age of 27, most notably by suicide or overdose. Located in the heart of Cleveland, Ohio, 27 club coffee offers a wide range of specialty coffees, cocktails named after hits by Nirvana and Amy Winehouse, and a vegan menu.

What better way to spend an afternoon shopping at one of New York City’s most iconic fashion fronts than with a fresh brew? Ralph’s coffee is located on the second floor of the legendary designer’s flagship store in Manhattan. The café offers organic coffee blends from Central America, South America and Africa. In 2020, in response to the global pandemic, the fashion mogul went back to his philanthropic roots and delivered Coffee and baked goods to frontline workers across New York, and provided free food and beverages to doctors, nurses and essential workers to show their gratitude. Ralph’s Coffee has grown beyond the Big Apple with coffee shops in Hong Kong, Beijing, Doha and Tokyo.

David Lynch: David Lynch’s signature organic coffee
It’s no surprise twin peaks Creator launched his own coffee line. After all, there is a whole Vice Article about the filmmaker’s obsession with coffee, in which he admitted to drinking more than 20 cups a day (small cups, of course) and having his first love affair with the drink at the ripe old age of 3. Unlike other celebrities, Lynch has been relatively quiet about his coffee business, and little information is available online. In 2020 Showtime partner with Allegro Coffee promoting a limited edition 30th anniversary Twin Peaks, with raving reviews of the “damn fine coffee”. Although the rest of the coffee line doesn’t appear to be available at the moment – like another twin peaks Reboot – we hope it comes back soon.

Rob Zombie: Hellbilly Brew
When he’s not directing the most brutal metal horror film, Rob Zombie works with Dead Sled Coffee, a horror-themed coffee company known for its rogue-branded blends and hauntingly spooky artwork. Rob Zombie’s Hellbilly Brew, aptly described as “damn disgusting”, is made from and owned by the company, 100% Arabica beans First 100% USDA Organic Certified Coffee. I wonder what Sheri Moon thinks. Martha Stewart: ULIVjava
When she’s not hanging out with longtime friend and unconventional collaborator Snoop Dogg, Martha Stewart is probably conjuring up a new recipe, a talk show, or writing a new cookbook. A familiar face in the coffee world, Stewart almost a decade ago partner with longtime trainer Mary Tedesco and renowned nutritionist Kathleen Schoen to introduce ULIVjava: organic, fair trade coffee jam full of vitamins, minerals and herbs. Stewart recently teamed up with Barrie House, a family-owned New York-based coffee roaster that has been crafting exquisite coffee since the 1930s. At this rate, we wouldn’t be surprised if Stewart launched another line of coffees, this time perhaps featuring her colorful counterpart “leafy” new brand. Remember, you heard it here first.
