Toronto is filled with celebrities this summer, from touring musicians to talented actors filming their next big hit.
The 6ix has become a popular destination for film and television, and as one of North America’s biggest cities, we’re lucky enough to get tour dates for most of the big names (with the glaring exception of Taylor Swift), so the city will be this summer be full of celebrities.
In July 2023, Toronto will host some of the world’s biggest celebrities, from Beyoncé to Alicia Keys to Post Malone, with concert dates in the city.
Classic series like Chucky, starring Jennifer Tilly, and Reacher, starring Alan Ritchson, are also filmed in Toronto, so you might also spot some of your favorite TV actors.
Many celebs will also be in town for the Chinese Canadian Youth Athletic Association (CCYAA) Celebrity Classic game hosted by Simu Liu and Jeremy Lin.
With so many celebs on the road this month, here’s an official breakdown of the big stars in town for July 2023 and where you might spot them.
Beyonce
Beyoncé arrives in Toronto for her Renaissance World Tour on July 8th and 9th at the Rogers Centre.
Ticketmaster has tickets for her show starting at $200. So if you’ve got a few hundred bucks to spare, check out the musical icon right here in Toronto.
But for those of you who can’t afford to splurge on tickets this summer, Beyoncé is in town for two days, so you might catch a glimpse of the Crazy in Love singer eating or drinking.
Chinese Canadian Youth Athletic Association Celebrity Classic
The CCYAA Celeb Classic is back and you can watch some of your favorite stars compete in a basketball game on July 8th at the University of Toronto.
The charity basketball game will be hosted by Barbie stars Simu Liu and Jeremy Lin. Proceeds from the event will go to the Jeremy Lin Foundation and the CCYAA.
Over 20 celebrities, athletes and figures from the North American-Asian community will attend, including big names like Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Andrew Phung.
So if you want to meet a large group of celebrities in one place, you can buy a ticket from $75.
Tyga
Tyga will be in Toronto on July 15th and you will have two opportunities to see the artist.
The rapper will be at the Cabana Pool Bar at 1:00 p.m., although tickets for this event are already sold out, and he will be at the REBEL nightclub later that same day at 10:00 p.m
If you want to see the rapper, you can buy tickets from Ticketweb from $30.78.
Post Malone
Post Malone will be spending two nights in town on his If Y’all Weren’t Here, I’d Be Crying tour.
The rap star will perform on the Budweiser Stage on July 19-20, so you can hear the star’s tunes under the stars.
Tickets for his concert cost just under 200 US dollars for both evenings at Ticketmaster. So if you’re looking for the star, you can spend a few hundred dollars.
Although who knows where the star will end up the day before his performances, keep your eyes peeled as you stroll downtown!
punk
Pink will be bringing her P!NK: Summer Carnival 2023 tour to Toronto on July 24th at the Roger Centre.
Although concert-goers will not only see pink, they can also experience Brandi Carlile, GROUPLOVE and KidCutUp in the line-up.
Tickets for the show are around $250 on Ticketmaster. So you can bite the bullet and buy a ticket or roll the dice and hope to spot the singer in Toronto along the way.
Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa
What’s better than seeing two rap legends for the price of one concert ticket?
Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa will take over the Budweiser Stage for the HS Reunion Tour on July 26th along with fellow musicians Too $hort, Warren G, Berner and DJ Drama.
With tickets starting at around $130 at Ticketmaster, you can catch all the celebs on stage.
But who knows if these stars will be meeting up somewhere before or after their performances, so keep an eye out if you’re in town on July 26th.
50 cents
If you want to throw it back to the old school, you can catch 50 Cent on the Budweiser Stage in Toronto on July 31st.
The 47-year-old rapper will perform live and you can snag tickets for around $217 on StubHub.
Alan Ritchson
Alan Ritchson reprises his role as Jack Reacher in Season 3 of Amazon Prime Video’s hit series Reacher, and you may be able to catch him in Toronto this month.
The crime drama, based on the Jack Reacher books by Lee Child, will shoot in Toronto over the summer of June 19, 2023 to November 22, 2023, according to Hollywood North Buzz.
The next season has been rumored to be based on the children’s book One Shot, and while season 3 is anything remotely comparable to seasons 1 and 2, there will be plenty of places for you to spot the actor.
In November 2022, the show was seen on filming at Hendriks Restaurant & Bar in downtown Toronto and downtown Brampton.
Jennifer Tilly
If you’re a horror fan, you’ll scream when you hear that Jennifer Tilly, aka Chucky’s Bride, returns to her role as the murderous Tiffany Valentine in Season 3 of Chucky.
According to Collider, the third season of the horror TV series will be filmed in Toronto until August 2023, so you might be able to catch the cast in Toronto along the way.
Tilly recently posted a photo of herself and Daniel Getzoff strolling through downtown Toronto on July 3, and last week she posted a photo at French bistro-restaurant Parquet in Toronto.
Even if you don’t happen to see Tilly on set, you might bump into her at a Toronto restaurant or while walking down the street.
Previously, Chucky has filmed in Toronto’s Distillery District and Mississauga’s Sheridan Center, so who knows if they’ll be back this season!
