Celeb Swifites! Several of Taylor Swift‘s famous friends and fans turned out to shake off at the singer’s highly anticipated The Eras Tour.
The Stars of Swift’s Bejeweled Music Video — HAIM (It is, Danielle And Alana Haim) And Laura Dern — were among thousands of fans attending the tour’s opening night at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on March 17, 2023 along with Emma Stone. Not to mention, multiple fans spotted Swift’s bestie Selena Gomez amidst the crowd of the concert.
As well as opening for the first two performances by Grammy-winning singer Paramore Hayley Williams joined the audience to enjoy the beginning of the Eras Tour with other fans.
Self-proclaimed “Swiftie for Life” Daniela Patrick shared pictures of her and her friends at Swift’s first show. “We were all so in the moment we didn’t take a lot of photos together and I didn’t even take that many videos,” the former NASCAR driver captioned a slideshow of photos and clips from the concert. “@taylorswift sang 44 songs and it was the most amazing concert I’ve ever seen.”
NFL star JJ Watts also took to social media to praise Swift’s performance after attending the opening weekend with his wife. Kealia Wattsand her friends, who dubbed the show a “spectacle to watch” in a Twitter video.
“The production, the set design, the video boards, the sound quality from the speakers – you just tell when someone is doing something at the highest level and trying to do the right thing for their fans, and that’s done the right way for people, paying money to see them,” gushed the former Arizona Cardinals defensive end on March 19, 2023. “Just amazing production. It was 44 songs, three hours and fifteen minutes long, and she didn’t stop the whole time. There was no break.”
He continued, “And if she can do this entire tour without missing a single show, it’s going to be incredibly impressive.”
During the Eras Tour, Swift – who was dating his boyfriend Joe Alwyn since 2017 – will play 52 shows across the United States ending with five nights at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium in August 2023. However, getting tickets to the tour has become quite a challenge for celebrities and fans alike. Following Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan presale – which saw fans wait for hours in virtual queues hoping to get tickets – the company announced via Twitter on November 17, 2022 that general sale of the tour was suspended the following day due to “extraordinarily high demand ‘ was cancelled.
Swift expressed her disappointment with the situation in a lengthy message on her Instagram story on November 18, 2022. “So. It goes without saying that I am extremely protective of my fans. We’ve been doing this together for decades and over the years I’ve brought so many elements of my career into the house. I did this SPECIFICALLY to improve the quality of my fans’ experience by doing it myself with my team who care about my fans as much as I do,” the “All Too Well” singer wrote at the time. “It’s really difficult for me to entrust those relationships and allegiances to an outside entity and it’s excruciating for me to just watch failures happen without recourse.”
Swift went on to explain that Ticketmaster claimed they could handle the expected high demand, ending her post on an upbeat note: “And to those who didn’t get tickets, all I can say is that I hope to give us more opportunities to all get together and.” sing these songs. Thanks for wanting to be there. You have no idea how much that means.”
