LITTLE ROCK (KATV) – A few A-list celebrities attended this year’s Walmart Associates Celebration, held Friday at the Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville.
The event was hosted by Kevin Hart and featured Shania Twain’s performance of her song “Man! I Feel Like a Woman”, reported our content partner 40/29 News.
Other artists included John Legend, Snoop Dogg and Pitbull.
Also on stage were Marvel movie stars Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans promoting a training kit and dog food brand respectively.
The Walmart Associates Celebration is an annual event hosted by Walmart to celebrate and thank Walmart employees for their hard work.
The celebration typically includes a celebrity presenter and musical performances, as well as speeches by company leaders.
Past hosts have included Will Smith, Justin Timberlake, Hugh Jackman, Reese Witherspoon and Jamie Foxx, among others.
There were other events and performances leading up to the Associates Celebration on Friday. Wang Chung, Salt-N-Pepa and Billy Idol performed at Wednesday’s shareholder concert.
Also on Wednesday was the shareholders’ meeting itself, where shareholders made proposals on the risks of doing business with China, human rights, executive pay, racial equality, and workplace safety and violence. Walmart rejected the above suggestions in its proxy statement.
