The Masked Singer returns for the third episode of season seven on Wednesday night, and this time two celebrities are unmasked. Only one candidate will advance from the remaining three in the first group of the season.
“The Masked Singer” with Double Elimination
This week’s new episode features a showdown between Firefly, Cyclops and Thingamabob, each representing the good, the bad and the cuddly. These contestants made it through the first two episodes without being exposed, but only one of them will survive this week’s round.
Last week, Firefly was locked in a duel with Ram to decide which contestant to eliminate. Firefly was not happy with these results and they shocked the judges by walking off the stage. They eventually returned and put on a performance that saved them from elimination.
Thingamabob and Cyclops both got enough votes last week to continue, but at least one of them will be unmasked on Wednesday night. Thingamabob made Judge Ken Jeong cry with a performance of Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” in the final episode.

We’ll have to wait for Rudy Giuliani’s reveal
It looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer to see the much-hyped Rudy Giuliani unmasked, which reportedly caused Keng Jeong and Robin Thicke to leave the set. The Masked Singer teased us about the possibility last week, but the drama turned out to be Firefly’s exit.
Based on the clues we’ve seen, it doesn’t look like Giuliani is under any of the remaining masks in this first group. The reveal reportedly happened during taping of the first episode, but it’s possible the show messed up the schedule to put us off.
The show didn’t feature particularly dramatic moments this week, but having two celebrities unmasked is pretty exciting in itself. The Masked Singer Season 7 returns Wednesday nights at 8/7c on FOX.
