Who’s Ashley Graham, the plus-size star model that has been branded as the ‘sexiest woman’ alive?

Ashley Grahama 35-year-old model, was named “The sexiest woman in the world” from maxim magazine for their May/June 2023 Hot 100 issue. This isn’t Graham’s first time on the cover of Maxim, but she’s been celebrating her recent accomplishments, including becoming a mother to three children.

In an interview with Maxim, Graham spoke about the influence of motherhood on her drive and journey of body acceptance. “Having kids has given me more drive,” she said. “It reminds you that ‘spiciness’ comes in so many scenarios and comes in all shapes and sizes.”

Graham has been a vocal advocate for body positivity throughout her career, using her platform to encourage acceptance of all body types and reflecting on some of the greatest accomplishments of her career including giving one TED Talkyou receive Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover in 2016 and the creation of a Barbie made in her image.

She believes that accepting diversity should be easy and that conversations about body shape, height, gender, ethnicity and age should be neither negative nor positive. “Our bodies are constantly changing and they are constantly evolving. I used my own body as a tool to be able to talk about those feelings,” she said.

She wants to change the fashion industry

Despite her success, Graham still considers it “an honor” to use her story and platform to create change in the fashion industry. “In a lot of ways, I see myself as a normal Nebraska girl who just has a lot of drive and ambition, so why don’t we change the world together?” she said.

Graham’s modeling career began when she was discovered as a tween in a Nebraska mall. Little did she know at the time that being in front of the camera was her destiny, but she believes modeling gave her a platform to make a difference. “I don’t know how else I could have had this platform if it wasn’t about modeling — so god bless you modeling,” she said.

Born on October 30, 1987 in Lincoln, Nebraska, USA, Ashley is best known for her work as a plus-size model, appearing on the covers of several fashion magazines including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Glamour.

She has also collaborated with various high profile brands and designers in the fashion industry. Ashley has also served as a judge on the reality competition show America’s Next Top Model and has hosted her own podcast, Pretty Big Deal with Ashley Graham.
