dear bankless nation,

I’m always looking for interesting new drop tools that creators can use to distribute their NFTs.

Launch of Muse DAO is one such project that I just discovered.

Launch is a permissionless minting platform built on top of Sudoswap and allows people to easily buy or sell in NFT publications via bond curve-based liquidity pools.

The system is unaudited for now, so be careful!

However, it is also a great example of Sudoswap as base layer infra for new NFT apps thesis, so here for today’s post let us update you with everything you need to know.

Muse DAO, a venture studio that crosses paths with a decentralized collective, has just been unveiled Startan experimental minting platform based on Sudoswap’s automated NFT market maker (AMM) protocol.

instead of the Mint-then-list flow On which many other NFT platforms rely, Launch uses a Mint then deposit flow via Sudoswap. In other words, a creator can shape a limited edition NFT series direct into a Sudoswap liquidity pool.

If you’re not familiar with Sudoswap, it’s innovative in allowing people to open up NFT liquidity pools along commitment curves. Simply put, this design lets you Automate and customize NFT pricing needs-based through algorithmic price adjustments.

The main binding curve styles currently possible on Sudoswap

In the context of launch, this infrastructure allows Mintern to buy or sell instantly into the bond curve at the best possible price at that time. Additionally, Launch takes this a step further by preventing drop deployers from removing any liquidity until their mints are complete, eliminating the possibility of mid-mint frauds.

The launch homepage right after launch

The builders at Muse DAO are experienced DApp creators.

Her best-known release to date was NFT20an NFT liquidity protocol them Introduced January 2021 to create NFT pools represented by fungible ERC20 tokens.

The Muse DAO team too 1) pioneer helped NFT Flash Loan via NFT20, 2) released the NFT marketplace PEPESEA Arbitrum and Ethereum and 3) has created a handful of experimental NFT games to date, including Very sophisticated and the NFT Royal game.

All in all, the latest launch of the Muse DAO builder is, you guessed it, Start.

The permission-free minting platform charges no fees above Sudoswap’s base fee of 0.5% no admin functions that can be abused, and offers Contracts owned by the creator.

In addition, Launch was created as a weekend project, a reality that highlights the Benefits of Composability of building in web3 on on-chain infra like Sudoswap. If you can easily mix and match Culture Legos and Money Legos, you can quickly create new apps like Launch. On the other hand, the app is unaudited and may contain errors, therefore for the time being it is in a “use at your own risk” state.

Only two projects have been released on Launch so far. So, once again, remember that this is an experiment that has only just been published.

But even this early start is already easy to use, simplifying the process of an edition NFT drop-through sudoswap that previously required multiple manual steps – i.e. deploying your NFT smart contract, minting part or all of the offering , creating a Sudoswap liquidity pool and then marketing that pool as your public coin.

In contrast, Launch allows you to streamline the first three of these steps (deploy, mint, and deposit) by simply filling out your collection’s custom details in a single interface, and then triggering a contract creation transaction.

Launch the collection creation interface

More specifically, these are the steps it would take:

  1. Go to launch.musedao.io/#/ and connect your wallet

  2. press the Start NFT Button

  3. Enter your collection information in the collection editor interface, i.e. yours Project Name, Project Icon, Metadata URL, Max Offer, and Increase the time

  4. Enter your pricing details for the collection, ie select a Linear or Exponential binding curvea starting priceyour delta (by how much the price increases after each sale) and yours fee if any

Set price details

  1. When you have everything set up the way you want, press the Start button and confirm the contract creation transaction with your wallet when prompted

Boom! Once this transaction is confirmed, your NFT collection and associated Sudoswap pool would be activated and the underlying smart contract would be under your control.

When your coin window comes and goes and your mint doesn’t sell out, or when it does does sell, then you can stop raising and withdraw your ETH proceeds at your leisure. Any unsold NFTs will be returned to your wallet during this closing process.

To buy NFTs at Launch, simply browse the platforms Active mints. If anyone jumped at you, you would press the collection Act Button to go to the trading center of this collection and see the main statistics of the liquidity pool.

Then you enter how many NFTs you want to buy and complete the purchase with your wallet.

Launch Swaps UI

To sell you NFTs already bought from start while a coin is still active it is the same process as just described but in reverse order. You would go to the collection trade center and then enter how many NFTs you want to sell instead of buying them. Remember that at this point you are getting the best possible price from the retention curve.

Performing NFT drops via Sudoswap was only possible through several manual steps before launch. However, now this app offers a streamlined way to cycle a coin through a liquidity pool with just a few clicks and with the automated benefits of a custom bond curve.

Of course, this approach is not suitable for every YouTuber. In any case, it’s just the latest in a growing line of DIY services that developers can use to publish their own NFTs independently, permission-free, and flexibly. It’s good!

Being a decentralized and fully onchain NFT exchange, Sudoswap is also a culture + money Lego that quite a few people have theorized will serve as the base layer for a number of new NFT apps. Launch is a prime example of this dynamic beginning coming to life, and it also highlights how open composability is where web3 building can really shine and stack multiplier effects over time.

  • Keep an eye on Launch: It’s small and experimental now, but heralds a future app ecosystem around Sudoswap 🌱
