According to Michaël van de Poppe, Bitcoin could rally ahead of the halving before surging 630% – but there's a catch

Cryptocurrency analyst and trader Michaël van de Poppe is bullish on Bitcoin (BTC) for the coming weeks and months.

Van de Poppe tells his 684,700 followers on social media platform X that Bitcoin is likely to rally ahead of the halving scheduled for April.

According to the widely followed analyst, there is also a chance that Bitcoin could fall below $41,000 before rallying over 630% from that level to $300,000.

Based on Van de Poppe's charts, the analyst seems to expect Bitcoin to rise to around $45,500 before crashing to just under $40,000.

Bitcoin is trading at $42,830 at the time of writing.

The widely followed crypto analyst goes on to say that the approval of spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the US will have a long-term positive impact.

“The Bitcoin ETF has had a negative return from the start.

The Bitcoin ETF generated a massive net inflow in the first few days. More than $600 million on the first day.

The real impact of the ETF will be seen in the coming years.

A mega bullish event.”

According to Van de Poppe, the upcoming bullish season is likely to be the last “easy” cycle for Bitcoin and other crypto assets.

“This cycle will likely take a little longer, move much faster than expected and change many lives.

That's great, but times won't stay like this.

Take these winnings with you. Period.”
