Creating a sustainable environment is the goal of the Alóki project – making the world a more meaningful and beautiful place with the help of blockchain.
Alóki intends to advance such an endeavor on the grounds of the Alóki Sanctuary – a 750 hectare paradise in the heart of Costa Rica – one of the leading countries in terms of sustainability. With 27% of its landscape protected in reserves and national parks and 98% of its energy coming from renewable sources, Costa Rica is on track to become completely carbon neutral – the ideal setting for the play-to-own metaverse. To this end, Maurycy Krzastek, digital producer, DJ and eco farmer, and Bartek Lechowski, former manager at IKEA, discovered Costarican’s property and bought it for over $30 million.

Aiming to reconnect people with nature, Alóki offers its users the opportunity to actually participate in sustainable development through a blockchain-based game, where digital actions mirror those in the real world through NFT ownership. Planting a tree in the Alóki Metaverse can result in planting a real tree in the Alóki Conservation Area in Costa Rica – a perfect example of converting digital actions into real benefits.
Alóki users can immerse themselves in a jungle sanctuary 3D scanned into a metaverse land with an authentic community village with homes, coworking spaces and social action as retreat and work environments. The project’s innovative play-to-own model allows players to eventually own and visit the properties they sponsor in Alóki – all as NFT-based assets.

Bartek Lechowski, previously CMO and board member at IKEA, is currently overseeing the commercialization of Alóki with Benjamin Saxe – the world’s top sustainable architect – and Martyna Lipińska, a former game developer of titles such as Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, taking the helm become the game design department at Alóki.
Alóki aims to foster a community that transcends the boundaries of the real and digital worlds to help protect nature. With plans to launch liquidity pools and stakes in Q4 along with an early bird token sale for investors and an NFT marketplace ahead of mini-game and land gameplay launches in Q1-Q3 2023, is Alóki determined to accelerate blockchain application scenarios the ultimate use of mother nature.
