Amici Curiae’s lawyer confirms Ripple’s payment options.

Attorney John Deaton has once again substantiated Ripple’s (XRP) capabilities in payments using a recent event at his firm, the Deaton Law Firm.

Deaton said his law firm recently hired two attorneys to work for him as independent crypto contractors. After the necessary negotiations, he decided to pay them for their services with digital currencies.

According to Deaton, one of the lawyers has an account with Coinbase and had to pay him in Bitcoin (BTC). The other attorney had an Uphold account and was paid for his services in Ripple (XRP).

While one of the attorneys has already received the money in his account, the other attorney is still awaiting confirmation, Deaton added.

The law firm of Deaton just paid two attorneys to work for me as independent contractors in Crypto. One had a @coinbase account so I paid him #Bitcoin

The other attorney had an @UpholdInc account so I paid him in #XRP.

One of them is still waiting for confirmation.

Deaton shadows BTC indirectly

Although Deaton did not specify which attorney is still awaiting confirmation, it is clear that the attorney who requested payment in XRP received the funds in a timely manner.

Ripple is one of the fastest payment methods in the world as transactions on the XRP Ledger are processed in 3-5 seconds.

The same is not true for Bitcoin, which usually takes a long time to process transactions. Sometimes it can take over an hour for transactions to settle on the Bitcoin network.

Interestingly, Deaton cleverly used the tweet to demonstrate the superiority of XRP over Bitcoin in payments.

Deaton’s tweet comes a few days later He blew up cryptocurrency media company Cointelegraph for excluding XRP in its recent poll to determine the best cross-border payment option.

In the survey, Cointelegraph listed BTC and stablecoins as the top cross-border payment options. Deaton said the Cointelegraph poll is biased against Ripple.

This poll shows a complete bias towards #XRP. How could you credibly offer this survey, listing #BTC & stablecoins but not #XRP? Since 2015, @Ripple has been driving the adoption of #XRP for cross-border payments. It has been used with @MoneyGram and is actively used by dozens of companies,” he said.

His unwavering support for XRP

Deaton is known to be a strong supporter of Ripple. He has never stopped throwing his weight behind cryptocurrency whenever the opportunity arises.

Lawyer Deaton is the advisor to Amici Curiae in the ongoing litigation between the SEC and Ripple.
