equalizer was designed to make decentralized exchanges easier for customers, but what about crypto balancers (BAL)?

Let’s see what we can find out and also take a look at the balancer price prediction.

balancer explained

In the cryptocurrency world, one of the most important places is the crypto exchange. If the market sets the price of a coin or token, then the exchange is the marketplace that actually sets how much people can buy or sell a crypto for. While exchanges are fairly common, there are ultimately two different types of crypto exchanges.

The most important, notable, and prominent are centralized exchanges, also known as CEXes. When you think of places like Coinbase (COIN) or Binance, they are centralized exchanges (CEX). These places allow people to buy, sell, and trade coins and tokens, but there is something that could be seen as a potential catch. People can only work with the couples that the exchange lists. Additionally, most of the time, people have to go through know-your-customer checks before they can get started.

On the one hand, this is a good thing, because it certainly benefits everyone if criminals are not allowed to exploit the anonymity of crypto. On the other hand, there are some people who might be a bit skeptical about centralized exchanges. There are people who want to be able to trade any crypto at the same time and at a price that is convenient for them. There are also some blockchain evangelists who believe that any form of centralized authority is contrary to the principles of blockchain technology.

Anyway, these people can use decentralized exchanges (DEXes) which are designed to work decentralized and allow people to trade any asset at any price they want. In order to function, a DEX needs an Automated Market Maker (AMM). This is a program that automatically provides liquidity from the DEX’s liquidity pools that allow a DEX to function properly.

Balancer is one such AMM. As the white paper says:

“Balancer flips the concept of an index fund on its head: instead of paying fees to portfolio managers to rebalance your portfolio, you collect fees from traders who rebalance your portfolio by pursuing arbitrage opportunities.”

One thing that makes Balancer a bit different from other Ethereum-based AMMs is that not only can anyone potentially add liquidity to the liquidity pools, but people also don’t have to use ETH on the system in any way, giving it more flexibility.

Every blockchain-based network must have its own cryptocurrency, and Balancer has the Balancer token, also known by its ticker handle BAL. This crypto acts as a governance token, meaning anyone who owns it can participate in voting on the future of the network.

At this point, it is also worth staging that BAL is a token and not a coin, since it is based on the Ethereum blockchain. You might see hints of things like the BAL coin or a balancer coin price prediction, but these are strictly wrong.

Balancer was founded by Balancer Labs, which in turn was founded in 2019 by crypto entrepreneurs Fernando Martinelli and Mike McDonald. Balancer was first launched in 2019, but the native token didn’t hit the open market until the following year.

History of the Balancer Prize

It is now time to look at BAL’s price action. While past performance should never be taken as an indicator of future results, knowing what the token has previously done provides much-needed context when it comes to interpreting a balancer price prediction or creating one of your own.

When the token first hit the open market in the summer of 2020, it went through some ups and downs. It opened at $19.53 on June 24 before spending much of its first few months at just over $10. It was above $20 for most of August and the first half of September before falling below $10 thereafter.

Balancer to USD CHART

Things took an upward move in early 2021 as the market went through a significant bullish phase, with the BAL token hitting an all-time high of $74.77 on May 4, 2021. However, after that, the Great Crypto Day Crash of May 19 shone on much of the crypto market and BAL fell below $16 in mid-June.

In August, the market rallied, with growth in non-fungible tokens (NFTs) giving cryptos a massive boost. BAL joined in the good times and went bullish in early September, breaking above $30 before things collapsed again. There was a downturn after that, and despite a flurry of activity in early November as Bitcoin (BTC) hit new highs and boosted the market to see BAL at $17.53 on 4 year.

While 2021 was a good year overall for BAL, something went wrong in 2022. On Jan. 4, the price initially rose to $20.37 but soon turned down, reaching a low of $10.55 on Feb. 24 after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

It spiked in late March, hitting $21.75 on April 8, but then China’s crypto ban collapsed and on May 12, the market caught on following the depegging of the UST stablecoin and the collapse of the related LUNA cryptocurrency Riot , BAL fell to daily low of $8.15.

While there was a small rebound after that, in June the crypto bear market was confirmed after the cancellation of withdrawals on lending platform Celsius and the token sank to an all-time low of $3.65 on June 18.

However, there was some recovery after that, and with the news that Balancer had conducted a $1M token exchange with the decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) that governs the AAVE protocol, AAVE DAO, the token was am 28. Worth approximately $6.21 July 2022. At that time nearly 42 million BAL were in circulation out of a total supply of 51,145,873. This gave it a market cap of around $260 million, making it the 121st largest crypto by this metric.

Balancer Price Prediction

Now let’s take a look at the Balancer price prediction as of July 28, 2022. It’s important to remember that price predictions, especially when it comes to something as potentially volatile as cryptocurrency, can very often be wrong. Also, we have to tell you that long-term crypto price predictions are often made using an algorithm, which means they are subject to change at any time.

First, CaptainAltCoin made a balancer crypto price prediction that it could have fallen to $3.82 in October 2022 before hitting $6.09 in July 2023. By 2025, the site said BAL could be worth $10.35 before slipping to $9.31 in five years. The website made a Balancer price prediction for 2030, which it saw at $25.87 and $51.73 in 2040.

Next, CoinsKid had a BAL token price prediction that suggested that the token, which closed 2022 at $9.10, may have reached $15.25 by July 2023. For 2024, it predicted a potential price of $21.29, followed by a Balancer price prediction for 2025 of $29.75 at the start of the year, $40.96 in July and closing the year at $50.01. By July 2026, BAL could have reached $54.50, rising to $73.28 in October this year.

Meanwhile, Gov Capital has outlined a Balancer price prediction for 2022 that could mean bad news. It has been hinted that the token could reach $21.38 on September 2nd this year. A downturn could ensue from there as BAL fell to zero by Dec 5, turning into a de facto dead coin. However, the site has also outlined a one-year forecast of just under $15.50, followed by a possible value of just over $6.58 by July 28, 2027.

Finally, WalletInvestor also provided a bearish BAL price prediction. The website estimated that the BAL token price could have fallen to a meager $0.339 by July 2023.

Final Thoughts

When considering a BAL price prediction, it is important to remember that cryptocurrency markets remain extremely volatile, making it difficult to accurately predict the price of a coin or token in a matter of hours, and even more difficult to provide long-term estimates. Therefore, analysts and algorithm-based forecasters can and will get their predictions wrong.

If you are considering investing in cryptocurrency tokens, we recommend that you always do your own research. View the latest market trends, news, technical and fundamental analysis and expert opinion before making an investment decision. Remember that past performance is no guarantee of future returns. And never trade with money you cannot afford to lose.
