Billionaire Mark Cuban says he invests in Bitcoin (BTC) “all day, every day” instead of gold
Mark Cuban, star of Shark Tank and minority owner of the Dallas Mavericks, says he prefers Bitcoin (BTC) to gold as an investment.
In a new CNBC interview, the business tycoon says he sees the crypto king as the better option from an investment perspective and that he prefers BTC over gold “all day, every day.”
Regarding his expectations for the future Bitcoin price, Cuban says:
“Bitcoin is only determined by supply and demand. There will only be 21 million of them. The more people buy and the fewer people sell, the higher the price will be.
That's only natural. It’s a great store of value, so I’m investing in it, you know, because I feel like the demand is going to outstrip the number of people selling.”
Bitcoin is trading at $66,668 at the time of writing.
According to the billionaire, the biggest disappointment of the digital asset industry is the lack of mass adoption of decentralized applications (DApps).
“There's not that one app where you go to your grandma and she says, 'I have to get this new crypto app because all my friends are using it'.”
Kind of like what we saw with Instagram in the early days of apps. We need this transitional application for crypto to be ubiquitous, but until then, just from an investment perspective, I invest in Bitcoin instead of gold all day every day, and I've been saying that for years.”
