It was the perfect viral story: an out-of-shape crypto billionaire was caught not only spending $62,000 a month on his favorite model's OnlyFans, but also tattooing her face on his leg shortly afterward. He also allegedly begged her for an open relationship for weeks in deranged, unanswered messages and offered her 10 Bitcoin (nearly $430,000) if she just texted him.
It turned out that everything was a little too perfect.
Days after rapper and model Rubi Rose quickly became known to send a series of text messages on twitter which allegedly came from a desperate crypto whale – who vacillated between saying “I love you more than Bitcoin”, shouting at her and offering to follow her orders while wearing a “sissy maid outfit” – said The fan in love has finally shown up.
And his side of the story sounds very different than Rose's narrative.
The man who also appeared in a photo Rose is tagged as their “#1 donor” and says he does not own thousands of Bitcoins nor is he particularly rich. He has also never texted Rubi Rose in his life.
His name is Lamar and he does dog sitting for porn stars.
On one Podcast appearance Yesterday, Lamar – who did not reveal his last name for privacy reasons – claimed that he had never once signed up for OnlyFans or been in contact with Rubi Rose until weeks ago, when the rapper's agents approached him through mutual friends in the modeling industry and contacted him asked if he would be willing to take a photo with Rose for unknown reasons.
Lamar acknowledged that he may have been offered the job because he “looks like a guy who would spend $63,000 on a person” he wasn't in a relationship with. But he says he got engaged anyway after being offered an undisclosed payment. He said he showed up at the Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood to take dozens of photos with Rose before being smoked out and sent on his way.
Days later, Lamar says, Rose's agents contacted him again, curious about whether he was willing to raise the stakes. Both parties ultimately agreed that Lamar would have Rose's face tattooed on his leg in exchange for a second, larger payment.
Lamar did not disclose the amount of that follow-up fee, saying only that in hindsight he should have charged more. Apparently, in the middle of the negotiations, Lamar sought the advice of porn actress Gina Valentina, whose one cat and four dogs he often watches. She reportedly told him to ask for at least $15,000.
Lamar claims he got the tattoo, sent a video of it to agents and put the whole thing out of his mind.
Then Rose made the post.
Rose's team inserted the real video of Lamar's tattoo into a series of outlandish text messages that Lamar said he never wrote, sparking a viral phenomenon that sparked outrage Income gapat male stalkers and sexual violence, and of course too Crypto. At the time of writing, Rose's Twitter posts about Lamar have been viewed a total of 221 million times.
Lamar says he has no idea what Rose's team planned to do with the content he created for them.
“I didn’t know exactly what the plot was,” he said. “I didn’t know I was a ‘Bitcoin billionaire’.”
But the novelty of the experiment soon wore off when he was identified on the streets of Los Angeles as the alleged porn addict who said he would give up his crypto millions to be Rubi Rose's favorite cuckold.
His friends – many of whom work in the modeling and porn industries – asked him about the post and questioned his character. Lamar says he couldn't sleep for days after publishing the post.
Decrypt reached out to Rose's representative for comment but did not immediately receive a response.
It's not all bad news for the dog sitter. He says that he has now come to terms with the ordeal, that he has no bitterness toward Rose, and that he plans to keep her face on his leg. And while he probably hasn't earned nearly as much from the Twitter posts as she probably did, he's already thinking of ways to capitalize on his 15 minutes of fame.
The hosts of the “Ugly Inside” podcast, on which Lamar appeared, suggested on Tuesday that he should double down on the crypto aspect of the entire saga and start selling trading courses.
“You should cheat on them all,” one host suggested. “Say 'This is King Cuck, the Bitcoin guy,' and sign up [for] $10,000 each… and then just copy a course from YouTube.”
“I’ve actually already started that,” Lamar replied.
