Bitcoin (BTC) up 1.41%, Dogecoin (DOGE) up 2.58%, Shiba Inu (SHIB) down 2.26%, Ethereum (ETH) up 1.97%

That crypto market today was marginally up, although trading volume has increased significantly for almost all cryptos. In the meme coin section, Dogecoin (DOGE) stole the show with the highest gains among dog-themed meme coins, while in the DeFi section, Yearn.Finance (YFI) declined significantly, but other DeFi coins made modest gains.

Crypto market cap rose about 0.97 percent to $847.8 billion and trading volume rose 15.91 percent to $33.62 billion, according to data from Coinmarketcap.com as of 8:50 a.m.

Today’s top gainer was Bitcoin SV (BSV); it rose 8.13 percent to $46.55. The biggest loser was Trust Wallet Token (TWT), which traded at $2.33 for the past 24 hours through Tuesday morning, down 12.19 percent.

BTC traded below $17,000 for most of the morning of December 12th, but the moment that saw BTC surge above $17,000 and beyond occurred from 1:20 am on December 13th.

Ether: Ethereum (ETH) The price is up 1.97 percent in the past 24 hours to $1,269.44 through Tuesday morning.

ETH price traded with marginal gains on December 13, but its trading volume increased significantly. Like BTC, ETH also saw similar renewed buying interest around 1:30 a.m. on Dec. 13, which ultimately caused the price of ETH to surge from $1,254 to $1,274 in 2 hours.

The lowest price for ETH was $1,243.48. ETH trading volume increased by 25.24 percent to $4,824,823,345.

Other Altcoins: Solana (SOL) is up 1.08 percent today at $13.16.

Ripple (XRP) is up 2.22 percent to $0.383 and its 24-hour trading volume was $838.64 million.

Cardano (ADA) is up 0.66 percent to $0.305. Cardano 24-hour trading volume increased by 10.3 percent to $175,565,171.

Binance (BNB) is down 4.08 percent at $272.42. The 24-hour trading volume increased by 96.32 percent to $1,039,988,864.
