Bitcoin falls to $62,000, Ethereum to $3,000, SOL crashes

Top crypto prices saw a decline today as Bitcoin (BTC) price fell below the $63,000 mark. Furthermore, the price of Ethereum (ETH) was nearing a decline below the $3,000 mark. Meanwhile, other top altcoins such as Cardano (ADA), Solana (SOL) and XRP crashed massively.

At the time of writing on Tuesday, April 16, Bitcoin price fell 3.95% to $62,375.46. On the other hand, trading volume increased by 4.90% to $45 billion in the last 24 hours. At the same time, the cryptocurrency had a market capitalization of $1.22 trillion.

In the altcoin space, Ethereum price fell 3.44% to $3,033.71 at press time, with a market valuation of $364.29 billion. Meanwhile, ETH trading volume increased by 2.92% and reached $22.78 billion. Meanwhile, the price of Binance Coin (BNB) fell by 4.69% to reach $538.63. On the contrary, 24-hour trading increased by 3.12% to $1.51 billion.

Solana price is likely to fall below the $130 mark today. Solana price plunged 10.82%, the price is $132.46. Additionally, SOL saw a 6.48% decrease in trading volume to $5.72 billion in the last 24 hours. At the same time, the XRP price was below $0.49. XRP price experienced a 3% decline and reached $0.4848. On the other hand, XRP trading volume increased by 3.90% to $2.43 billion.

Meanwhile, Cardano price fell by 2.24% to $0.4543 today. Meanwhile, ADA saw a 15.83% decline in its 24-hour trading volume, settling at $709.49 million. As peak cryptocurrency prices plummeted, popular meme coins followed suit. Dogecoin price fell 3.51% to $0.1534, while the price of its competitor, Shiba Inu, fell 4.33% to trade at $0.0000213.

Pepe Coin (PEPE), a trending Solana meme coin, continued to see a decline today amid the bearish trend. At press time, the price of Pepe coin fell by 7.49% to $0.000004837 with a market valuation of $2.03 billion. Additionally, the 24-hour trading volume for PEPE decreased by 6.18% to $895.34 million.

Core rallies 62%

Core (CORE), an EVM-compatible L1 project, saw a phenomenal rally of over 62% and was ranked as the top crypto gainer today. Core price rose 62.29% to $2.35 at the time of reporting. Furthermore, trading volume increased by a whopping 326.46% and amounted to $699.24 million. Additionally, the core cryptocurrency hit a high of $2.83 today as part of the rally.
