According to Fedi CEO, Bitcoin (BTC) is poised to take the cryptocurrency throne by the end of 2023 as its superiority will be “clear” in every way.
During the May 20 Bitcoin 2023 event in Miami, Cointelegraph reporter Joe Hall interviewed Obi Nwosu, the CEO and co-founder of Fedi — a Bitcoin community custody protocol that offers an alternative solution for those who don’t have access to centralization have or don’t trust this exchange.

Nwosu emphasized during the interview that it is “increasingly hard to deny” that Bitcoin has the “fastest, cheapest, simplest, most decentralized and most secure” ecosystem.
He assumes that this will become even clearer by the end of the year. He noticed:
“By the end of this year it will be clear that it will just tick, tick, tick for bitcoin.”
Nwosu said that whether the goal is to develop features, build a decentralized social media network, or even empower local communities, it is “becoming increasingly obvious” that Bitcoin is the most efficient and secure solution.
However, he believes that there is room for other cryptocurrencies besides Bitcoin. He envisions a “multi-coin future” and compares it to the evolution of music.
“I mean, there’s still turntables and vinyl, right…there’s still some people who like cassette and laserdisc.”
In addition, he stressed that there is a “big misconception” about Bitcoin’s “slow innovation.”
He explained that there is a misconception that Bitcoin has a feature or scale limitation, but the “reality” is that developments are happening “incredibly quickly” and there is a focus on creating solutions “that work the first time.” are correct”.
Nwosu pointed out that prioritizing perfection can cause delays, but is better than having to make changes “again and again.”

In Nwosu’s view, cryptocurrency is essentially “an idea” as it is “a combination of philosophical aspects and technological aspects somehow combined together.”
He explained that due to the intangible nature, cryptocurrencies cannot be fought with physical forces like “weapons or missiles”. Instead, it is vulnerable to attacks by “misinformation and sometimes inappropriate or extreme regulation.”
According to Nwosu, countries that don’t believe in freedom of expression, or just freedom in general, are actively examining this tight regulation of cryptocurrencies.
He believes the key to fighting this is to “correct” misinformation and create systems that “empower the good guys.”
