Bitget launches MegaSwap for a reinvented DeFi experience

Merging CeFi security and convenience with the DeFi trading environment.

Seychelles, December 27, 2022 — Bitget, leading global cryptocurrency exchange, is launching “MegaSwap”, a new feature on its platform that allows users to trade or swap their digital assets for over 10,000 cryptocurrencies in a decentralized finance (DeFi) environment. With a MegaSwap account, users can gain access to trading across eight influential chains and 10 major decentralized exchanges (DEXs) while staying on Bitget’s platform. The feature combines the freedom and diversity of DeFi with the security and convenience of centralized finance (CeFi), allowing users to enjoy the best of both worlds.

While CEX users enjoy secure trading experiences across diversified products and services, DEXs are also gaining traction among investors looking to quickly obtain a greater variety of tokens. However, trading DEXs is not for everyone. Due to the knowledge barrier and lack of protection with assets stored in DeFi wallets, many users are discouraged from engaging with DEXs. With this in mind, MegaSwap was designed to satisfy users’ demand for convenient and secure trading while enjoying a variety of assets and high liquidity, allowing users to integrate a centralized trading experience on DeFi marketplaces.

Users just need to activate MegaSwap account with few clicks to unlock the feature of trading 10,000+ cryptocurrencies on 10 leading DEXs like Uniswap, PancakeSwap, Curve, SushiSwap and more. Thanks to the variety of DEXs, MegaSwap is equipped with the best liquidity pool options on the market. The feature currently supports transactions on eight different chains – Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Optimism, Fantom, Klay, HECO, and OEC. With the help of MegaSwap, users can complete cross-chain swaps effortlessly and easily in one place.

Aside from combining the benefits of CEXs and DEXs, MegaSwap smoothes the trading experience even further by streamlining gas fee payment. Compared to normal DeFi trading, where traders need to prepare various chain-native tokens to pay gas fees incurred from transactions, MegaSwap automatically converts gas fees from stablecoin balances in users’ accounts, allowing users to trade with minimal effort.

Gracy Chen, Managing Director of Bitget said:

“MegaSwap is an important step by Bitget in building a secure, dynamic and robust one-stop trading experience to achieve critical mass. With recent volatility and uncertainty in trading markets, we are seeing users and investors crave protection for their assets without sacrificing convenience and performance. And MegaSwap provides the right solution to connect the dots, allowing users to enjoy the benefits of DEXs and the increased protection of the Bitget platform. We prioritize offering users a variety of options and liquidity while combining this with our best-in-class security measures and risk management, including hot and cold wallet segregation, multi-signature wallet, zero trust security architecture and more to keep users safe to protect ‘ assets.”

Chen added:

“DeFi has become a crucial element of this ever-evolving crypto space and also plays a role in enriching asset diversity and diversifying the crypto ecosystem with CeFi. Our goal is to be the portal that seamlessly connects CeFi and DeFi to MegaSwap, while actively listening to our community and users to address changing market needs and keep us abreast of market trends.”
