One of the key value propositions of (Bitcoin) is that no one can generate more of it apart from their fixed supply. However, an executive at a crypto exchange boldly claimed that some exchanges could create and sell BTC that only resides in their system and not on the blockchain to manipulate the market.

In an interview with Cointelegraph, Serhii Zhdanov, the CEO of crypto exchange Exmo, shared his belief that market manipulation is still rampant in the digital asset space and gave an example of how it can happen.
