Craig Wright confirmed the revision of the Bitcoin white paper documents filed in the lawsuit against COPA.
Alexander Gunning, who represents Bitcoin developers, pointed to changes Wright made to his documents, particularly in “LaTeX files,” which Wright admitted. Wright explained that these adjustments were made for demonstration purposes to his legal team at Shoosmiths.
This latest development comes as the trial to determine whether Wright is actually Satoshi Nakamoto enters its third week.
In November 2023, Craig Wright attempted to create a version of the Bitcoin whitepaper in Latex. The animation below shows Craig gradually editing the file to try to match the formatting to that of the real Bitcoin white paper created using Open Office pic.twitter.com/804qzXfSAj

Gunning disagreed with Wright, pointing out that the changes were self-serving and not for demonstration. He emphasized that these were attempts to adapt the documents to the original layout of the Bitcoin white paper. According to Gunning, this file was only changed in November 2023.
The cross-examination ended with Gunning directly questioning the legitimacy of Wright's claim to be Satoshi Nakamoto, a claim that Wright rejected upon further examination.
Judge: Before the break, let me make one thing clear. They say that all these changes were made for demonstration processes. However, what you did reveal was the final product? Why didn't you disclose the starting point as an original white paper? Why didn't you mention not looking?

The session concluded the third week of hearings, highlighted by testimony from both sides. Computer scientist Marti Malmi testified and disputed Wright's timeline of her interactions with Nakamoto. Malmi clarified that, contrary to Wright's claim of a crackdown in February 2009, the actual communication occurred on May 1, 2009, a discrepancy later confirmed by emails published on X.
