(Bitcoin) trades 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is a market that never sleeps and the BTC price is constantly changing. It doesn’t matter what currency or commodity is used to measure the value of a Bitcoin – BTC is always live and the market is always open.
This wasn’t always the case – in the beginning, prior to around 2010, there were no exchanges or even reliable pricing information, and it traded at tiny prices – at one point less than a single US dollar cent. However, since these days, the Bitcoin price has increased by millions of percent.
