Leading Bahraini Hotel Accepts BTC Payments (Report)

The Novotel Bahrain Al Dana Resort was reportedly the first hotel in the country to accept cryptocurrencies as a payment method.

Other hotels in the Arabian Peninsula that have adopted digital assets in recent months include W Dubai – The Palm and Palazzo Versace Dubai.

Entry into the world of crypto

According to recent reporting, Novotel Bahrain Al Dana Resort has partnered with Eazy Financial Services to allow guests to settle accommodation bills in cryptocurrencies. The hotel will place specially designed terminals at its outlets to enable the offering through the Binance app.

The Central Bank of Bahrain approved the move, making the Novotel Bahrain Al Dana Resort the first in the US to offer such a payment option. General Manager Amid Yazji commented:

“As we keep up with the development of technologies and our constant desire to provide the best possible service to our valued guests, we are pleased to announce that we are the first hotel in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the region to offer the newest digital payment method uses technology in partnership with Eazy Financial Services.”

This luxurious four-star hotel overlooks the Arabian Gulf and offers its guests a swimming pool, a private sandy beach, a fitness beach, a fitness center and many other facilities. The Chedi Andermatt – a Swiss hotel in the Alps – also caught the crypto wave, allow Guests to settle bills in BTC or ETH. The offer can only be applied if the accommodation costs more than 200 CHF ($215). The cheapest double room costs around 700 dollars, which quickly reaches the limit.
