Legendary investor Michael Saylor speaks at Europe’s largest Bitcoin conference, BTC Prague

In early June, Prague will host the first edition of BTC Prague, the largest and most important event in Europe focused solely on the most popular cryptocurrency, Bitcoin. The event will be attended by over 80 exhibiting companies, 130 speakers from all over the world, three days of lectures and workshops, and 10,000 visitors.

Michael Saylor is among the most influential Bitcoin (BTC) maximalists and key figures in the crypto world. He founded the company MicroStrategy, which regularly buys bitcoin as part of its corporate assets and is the richest cryptocurrency company in the world with 132,000 bitcoins. Saylor will now be speaking in Europe for the first time. This is happening during the BTC Prague conference, the Bitcoin event of the year, which will be held June 8-10 at the PVA Letnany exhibition center in Prague.

“Michael has an excellent reputation and strong and consistent views that carry weight in the bitcoin community, and he is also a person who opened the doors for the adoption of bitcoin by traditional businesses.” So I’m pleased that we managed to convince him to speak at our event for the first time in Europe,” said Martin Kuchař, one of the organizers of BTC Prague. “With an estimated attendance of 10,000, this conference is unrivaled not only in the Czech Republic but throughout Europe.”

In addition to Saylor, there are a number of other influential figures in the Bitcoin world, including Blockstream CEO Adam Back, SatoshiLabs co-founder Marek Palatinus, and Robert Breedlove, author of the popular book What is Money? Podcast, have accepted invitations to Europe’s largest Bitcoin conference. The bilingual Czech-English program promises a wealth of stimulating ideas for entrepreneurs, researchers, influencers, philosophers, developers and advocates of freedom over the course of the three-day event.

An exhibition will also be held in parallel with the program on stage, presenting over 100 companies focused on building the Bitcoin infrastructure. This includes hardware and software wallet providers, mining tools, exchanges, and even beer dispensers connected to the Lightning Network. Among the exhibitors will be an exclusive guest – El Salvador. The Central American country, which made history two years ago as the first country in the world to make Bitcoin its official currency, is sending a government delegation to Prague to share their experiences and discuss the impact of their groundbreaking decision at the crypto event of the year.

The aim of the organizers of BTC Prague is to appeal not only to experienced Bitcoin enthusiasts, but also to those who have some knowledge of Bitcoin but are not fully familiar with it. Your goal is to accompany these people through the entire Bitcoin journey. “In the current complex economic situation, where we are all feeling the effects of inflation, uncertainties about bank stability or high interest rates, Bitcoin is proving to be a lifeboat of sorts. Today, not having it is certainly more risky than having it. So we want to focus heavily on newcomers to help them get started in the bitcoin world and show them how to do it practically,” said Kuchař.

A major figure in the Czech Republic’s local bitcoin scene, Martin has been instrumental in organizing four successful annual bitcoin events called ChainCamp along with his brother Matyas. These events attract over 2,000 enthusiasts to Ostrava every year. The move to Prague and the significant expansion of the scope of the entire event is a logical culmination of the journey of both brothers and the growing popularity of Bitcoin

The fact that the largest and most significant bitcoin conference will be held in Prague is symbolic, because as Martin Kuchar said, the Czech Republic is the “bitcoin valley” of the crypto world, and Prague could therefore confidently be called the world capital of bitcoin In the Czech Republic, a number of revolutionary projects emerged that played a key role in its adoption, such as SatoshiLabs Trezor hardware wallet, Braiins’ first mining pool, or General Bytes bitcoin ATMs. “I see BTC Prague as another Czech project that confirms the importance of the Czech Republic for Bitcoin,” added Martin Kuchar.
